b.l. ronan's Cover Reveal for her New Book of Poetic Mastery: Saudade
ladies and gentlemen:
i can hardly believe the day has finally arrived for me to share this milestone - my baby - with you. this beautiful cover was conceived by the exceptionally talented @justarandomscot and i have been so excited to share his creation with you.
so without further ado.........my cover!!!!!
isn’t she beautiful! it is the epitome of my writing process. curled up in my bed (we need ambiance for such steamy scenes -- hehe) with my notebook and pen, laptop at the ready, and coffee cup not far out of reach. this very space is where saudade was conceived.
it is hard to believe i wasn’t even composing eight months ago and after weeks of inspiration, tears, bloodshed, and elation i am about to present to you shards of my very soul. well...it is pretty inconceivable.
i had with great hesitation decided in february to push myself to this challenge of creating a compilation with nearly 50 new piece of work. i didn’t want it to be a mishmash of randomness nor did i want it to be a book of only one aspect of prose.
i remembered finding a picture of a tattoo on pinterest with the word saudade printed across the forearm. when i looked down at the explanation i felt an immediate connection and it stuck with me.
saudade does not have an english equivalent and there are many interpretations for its meaning. however, the most poignant and beautiful one was shared by my portuguese speaking beauty, a
feeling of incompleteness…due to the absence of someone or something…or the absence of a set of particular and desirable experiences and pleasures once lived.

tightrope allowing you to love and to play. this is by far my favorite piece of
his so far and you would be remiss to leave it off your to read list. chase is a
story weaver and i am beyond eager to get my hands on his next masterpiece. do
yourself a decadent favor and pick this wicked piece of awesomeness up. i
promise you will not be disappointed.
Sharing Kate is a wonderfully well written erotic, yet very romantic and heart
warming story. It's so refreshing to have a male author writing such beautiful
thoughts and feelings. His characters are very relatable and lovable.
We follow the story of Carter through his thoughts and feelings of himself, his long time crush Talia and the love of his life Kate, who happen to be good friends and coworkers. Carter seems to have lost himself through bad relationships and heartache in the past and deems himself unworthy and incapable of having a lasting loving relationship. Then he finds Kate, the best thing that's ever come into his life. His love for her is apparent and their relationship blossoms for a while. His insecurities start creeping back into his mind and Kate seems to be unsatisfied. When she finally fesses up and confronts him with what she wants, to swap partners with other couples, he finds himself being led down a road he's not sure he wants to go down. Sharing the love of his life with another man doesn't set well with him at all, but his love for Kate strengthens him to follow her down this strange and unknown path, but will it be enough? Chase has done a fantastic job of pulling real feelings from Carter and inducing them into the hearts of his readers. Carter is a character whom is easy to fall in love with and will melt your heart and heat your passion to a raging inferno with his lust for Kate and we can't forget about Talia. Steaming hot sex scenarios, that are very well written, will have you reaching for your special someone and possibly your lust and love will be rediscovered as well! Five stars, hands down! Can't wait to read more of his work! I admit this story made me a little bit anxious at first. I have written a story about "swinging" myself, and I remember being on an emotional roller-coaster ride when I was writing from the male "nice guy" character's POV. So, when I started to read this, I was really worried for Carter. Despite reading and writing about so many dominating alpha males, I really do have a soft spot for nice guys! I wondered if this genuine, honest dude was going to have his heart twisted into a pretzel by the carnally experienced, aggressive, swinging Kate. But Chase Boehner's masterful writing made me believe that a couple could swing/swap--while keeping their relationship healthy and close. Kate proves to be a singular woman who never lets her man forget he's number one in her life--even when they're both coupling with other people. It does also help that Carter ends up paired off on the first night of swapping with Talia, his long-time crush ... A treat he wasn't expecting to get from this arrangement. And the final love/sex scene shows the love and tenderness between Kate and Carter, ending the story on a happy romantic note. The writing throughout is excellent and exciting and detailed. Two scenes stood out for me: the "under the table" scene at the beginning, in the coffee shop (I loved Kate's daring spontaneity--wish I could be so bold in real life!). And it was all the more exciting due to the fact that Kate's BFF Talia was watching ... The second scene was the "choosing" at the swinger's party. Carter, blindfolded, has to "control" his release until he's caressed by the female hand of his crush ... A brilliant and deliciously original scene. |

another Author Spotlight. Today we have the multi-talented Mark Davis over for

1.) What is Erotica as
defined by you?
Erotica for me can be
anything, not just words. Pictures, clothes, shoes, music, words. All used
together or separately than can excite and tease a person’s mind. Let them
experience things that they only dream about.
2.) In your bio you
mention sharing stories, fantasies and poems with friends and being
encouraged. Was sharing with friends an easy transition or was there some dread
beforehand as you confessed to that first friend?
The first time I
pushed the send button on anything erotic I had my heart in my mouth. The
response however was swift and my heart returned to its rightful place. However
the very candid reply soon sent the blood running south as my friend described
her full reaction to the writing.
3.) You do something
quite unique; you take erotic requests and write custom poems to them. How did
this start and can you describe the feeling of your words making someone's
fantasy a written reality?
It is hard to do too
many requests but I love it. It started when I found I was writing too many of
the same genre and I asked a friend to give me two words or a picture. That
soon started to words flowing in all directions. I love hearing that on receipt
of their gift it sends a lot of them straight to their room.
4.) Can you give us a
glimpse into your publishing plans and drop us a few tasty hints on content?
I am about to release
a book of poems with Bitten Press, Poet Mark Davis Erotic Midnight Musings. Volume
one Domination. There will be six volumes in all covering all genres including
Paranormal.
Lessons for Steve is a
10k short story about the introduction of Steve to the BDSM lifestyle. This is
also with Bitten Press
5.) Do you have any
writing rituals?
I write on my Ipad
then email it to myself. Poems I write as the inspiration hits. Stories I have
to plan my time better.
6.) What poem or
story that you have written holds the most significant emotional connection to
you?
There is a part of me
in them all. I have also written tributes for close friends and family members
who have passed away in poetry form and I find them very emotional to write.
